The Safari Academy functions under the leadership and direct supervision of Mr.Santhosh George Kulangara, a renowned traveller, visionary entrepreneur and Managing Director of the Safari TV channel. It also has the backing of the Labour India group that has been functioning in the field of education for more than four decades.
Safari channel which started functioning in 2013 is one of the leading and highly popular names in the visual media domain of Kerala today. It was ‘Sancharam’, the first serialized visual travelogue in Malayalam, started by Mr. Santhosh George Kulangara 25 years ago,that was later transformed into the 24-hour satellite channel called Safari TV. ‘Sancharam’ programme that found a place in the Limca Book of Records has also bagged several famous awards that include Asian Television Award, All-India RAPA Award, Kerala Film Critics Association Award and National Film Academy Award.
Labour India that has been functioning in the field of education since 1983 is the publishers of quality educational journals catering to several lakhs of students. Moreover, several reputed education institutions like Labour India Public School, Labour India Gurukulam International Residential School & Junior College, Labour India College of Teacher Education and Labour India College also function under the same management. It is the same management which made its mark in the field of education drawing extensively from its very long experience in the field and by its visionary approach, that leads this new initiative called the Safari Academy.
